RMIT University's Christmas Appeal for VACCA
Story
The Indigenous Education, Research and Engagement team at RMIT have decided to register to support VACCA Christmas Appeal to raise money for a cause that is close to our hearts. Please support our efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
VACCA supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who are in foster care, kinship and residential care and vulnerable families in our community. $25 can help provide a present to a child $50 can provide presents to siblings $100 can help a struggling family over Christmas.
Funds raised will help support VACCA's ongoing efforts to support families during the festive season. Thank you!

Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency Co Op Ltd
The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is the lead Aboriginal child and family welfare organisation in Victoria, protecting and promoting the rights of Aboriginal children and young people and vulnerable community members. Each year VACCA assists over 6,000 people in Victoria.
As an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation, VACCA supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community across 70 programs delivered in six offices; Gippsland, Ovens-Murray and four in metropolitan Melbourne working in the areas of child and family services, family violence, homelessness, emergency relief, supporting vulnerable community members/Elders, youth, Stolen Generations, education and cultural programs.
VACCA’s key areas of work are in service delivery, advocacy and training. Working across the spectrum of prevention, early help, early intervention, targeted support and tertiary level services. Our approach is underpinned by principles of; prevention, early intervention and therapeutic healing, premised on human rights, self-determination, promoting client voice, cultural respect and safety.
